When you speak a language, you simply do not simply speak words, you speak a culture The approach to teaching about Arabic culture will be grounded in taking stories which have been and continue to reflect the basis of Arabic culture, and using multiple methods to bring them to life for non-Arab learners of the language. As a child learns the values, beliefs and attitudes, as well as norms, constraints and furthermore associated with their own culture through stories, I wish to replicate the process, and facilitate their comprehension of the Arabic reality. In essence, by using a famous series of Arabic stories, I wish to create a bridge that facilitates comprehension of the Arabic culture.

Using GPS Devices to Teach English with Geocaching Geocaching is much like a treasure hunt, except you use the receiver to help you locate the "treasure". There are approximately half a million geocaches located throughout the world and chances are that you have some near your location. We will see how we can use the receivers and geocaching to plan activities for your students. Geocaching will also help your students with team building and navigation skills,as well as allowing them to learn more about the area in which they live. This can be used with most ages and levels of students.
